- Community Based Animal Health Worker
Alex joined the ISU-UP livestock team in 2016 and serves as a Community Based Animal Health Worker. He works in the field throughout Kamuli District, managing first aid for animal health, nursing care to sick animals, implementing disease prevention programs, and training farmer groups on best livestock health practices.
Alex has training in Pig Artificial Insemination Technology conducted by the Department of Agricultural Production, Makerere University, and yellow farm management conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries. His experience includes work with Namasagali Subcounty as a Community Animal Health Provider under East African Dairy Development Program (EADD) and Heifer International, and as a private community-based animal health worker.
