David Banige

- Agricultural Extension Assistant
David joined the ISU-UP team in 2023 and serves as an Agricultural Extension Assistant. He assists the Agronomy and Land Use Specialist in disseminating information that improves crop yields and helps farmers and farmer groups to understand cropping systems that optimize productivity.
He holds a Bachelor of Agriculture and Community Development from Kampala University, and brings experience including working with Solent Dual Farm Sembabule district (Volunteer and intern), Intern at Makerere University Research Institute-Kabanyoro, Research assistant and data entrant at Iowa State University-Uganda Program on different projects including Improving the production and marketing of squash by smallholder youth farmers in Kamuli, Uganda; Community households hygiene and sanitation assessment; Maize Farmers' Survey (food storage, quality, and safety practices); Impact of nutrition education centers on food and nutrition security in Kamuli District, Uganda.
