As Operations and Construction Specialist Bony serves the Iowa State University-Uganda Program (ISU-UP) by overseeing construction projects and assisting the ISU-UP National Director in coordinating field operations throughout the district. Bony first joined ISU-UP in 2017 as the Assistant Clerk of Works, charged with construction supervision of ISU’s Mpirigiti Rural Training Centre.
Bony is a Civil Engineer with a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute, UMI (2022), Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Building Engineering from Kyambogo University (2019), a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering (2015) and an Ordinary Diploma in Architecture (2011). Additional professional development includes Humanitarian skills for Engineers (RedR UK- March 2023), Technical and Value for money Audit for engineering projects (UIPE-Sept 2023), Advanced Steel & RC Building Design (UIPE-Oct 2023), Project planning & Implementation (emergency response- RedR UK, Oct-2023).
Bony’s previous roles in the private sector include Icon Consultants Ltd as Clerk of Works, Bridge International Academies (K) Ug. Ltd as Construction Supervisor, Embassy of Iceland (ICEIDA) as Clerk of Works, and Arbeiter Samariter Bund as Site Supervisor, where he implemented a range of construction projects including Schools, health facilities, Warehousing, Residential Buildings, Valley dams, roads, Water supply schemes & Boreholes, among others.
