- Livestock Extension Assistant
Peter joined the ISU-UP livestock program team in 2024. He advises farmers on best animal husbandry practices to promote the health of animals, diagnoses illnesses and determines the best treatment, provides artificial insemination (A.I.) services, maintains breeding animals’ records, and gives advice to farmers on the best bull breeds suitable for their breeding goals. He graduated from Busoga University in 2017 with a Diploma in Animal Health and Production. He did his internship with Kasolwe Stock Farm in the assessment of animal health and breeding in Kamuli District. In 2018, he served as a Community Animal Breeding Personnel under the National Animal Breeding Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC&DB). In 2019, he worked with the East African Dairy Development Program as a Community Breeder. In 2021, he worked with Mpala Cattle Ranches as an Assistant Manager, handling Animal Health.
