Shafi joined the ISU-UP food service team in 2019 and serves as assistant chef. His responsibilities include ensuring food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and timely provision of food to students and visitors. Additionally, he organizes the kitchen area and takes charge in the absence of the Head Chef. He enjoys working as a team with all the kitchen support staff and providing excellent dining experiences brings him fulfillment, aligning with his passion for the hospitality industry. Shafi holds a certificate in Tourism and Travel Management from YMCA Institute, Kampala.
